In the first term they will start performing addition and subtraction sums. They will be expected to work independently on activities and be able to follow 4 and 5 step instructions. Is your child ready for this.

How Little Creators helped our son, Will.
We were concerned, to say the least!
Our youngest son was attending Prep at a private Catholic school when I became concerned that we were into the final semester of the year and still we had no sight words and no home readers! Having older children, I distinctly remember helping with reading in their prep class, endless sight words and home readers coming home each night. My questioning of the school drew very curt, unsatisfactory answers to my enquiries about the school’s curriculum and reading program for the preps.
We decided immediate action was needed to ensure our son was not disadvantaged any further and I enlisted the help of Vicki at Little Creators to help bring him up the level of children attending the local state school, before he started the new year as a grade one student.
Vicki conducted a comprehensive assessment on Will to find out where he was at with his learning. The results were as we had expected, he was at a high Kindy level. He didn’t know many letters and sounds, was very unconfident and was not even at a pre-reading level! The whole year had basically been a waste of his time and our hard-earned money.
We stared a once weekly trip to see Vicki for tutoring. Will really looked forward to going each week and for the whole time we attended, I think he only missed one session due to being ill. Vicki would set him simple homework tasks to work on during the week to reinforce the lessons, sounds and sight words she had taught. Each week I saw Will progress in not only his literacy but also mathematics. He had become a confident reader and was well on his way to catching up. Will also attended the Little Creators transition to year 1 program at the end of the Christmas school holidays, just to refresh his memory before school went back.
Wow what a difference the tutoring had made.
Will was tested during the first weeks of year 1 and was immediately put onto a level 7 reader (not a bad start). We continued to get him tutored until Vicki and his teacher decided it was no longer necessary, as Will had caught up and eventually exceeded the reading levels of his peers.
Today, Will is in year 3 and 8 years old. His reading level is that of a 14-year-old (6 years higher) and he has just been awarded the English Brilliance award for the highest achiever in English for year 3 students!
We could not thank Vicki at Little Creators enough for how she had helped our son. It has truly blown us away and exceeded our and Will’s expectations. I honestly believe without Vicki’s help Will would be struggling and frustrated with many aspects of his school life.
We whole heartily would like to thank Vicki for her fantastic job and we thoroughly recommend Little Creators for tutoring if you have any concerned about your child’s learning progress.
Yours sincerely,
Kelly S.

I love the resources provided during each course. It feel great to learn new things and find out about great tech tools!
Just an update on the boys progress. He has been on a PM level 26 reader for a while now and as mandatory end of semester testing they tested Wills reading this week. His year 3 teacher tested him two days in row and he was above level 30 (maximum for PM benchmarking levels) so she sent him to the specialist teacher for further testing. She conducted two (PROBE2) tests on him to establish his reading and comprehension level is that of a 14 YEAR OLD!! Amazing!! He also took out the English Brilliance award for topping the grade in year 3 English today!! I just want to say huge thank you AGAIN, because without you setting the foundations Will would never be where he is heading today.
Keep up the fabulous work.
Cheers Kelly S
